Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (TLL) is part of a major new initiative aimed at advancing Singapore’s aquaculture sector. Alongside the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the National University of Singapore, and industry partners, TLL is contributing to AquaPolis—a collaborative research programme and hatchery technology centre designed to tackle key challenges facing local fish farms.

The programme will focus on boosting the supply of healthy, newly hatched fish, improving disease resistance, and addressing operational issues that constrain productivity. By bringing researchers and fish farming enterprises together, AquaPolis aims to drive innovation that enhances the quality and sustainability of locally produced fish and shrimp.

This effort aligns with broader national goals to strengthen food resilience and grow Singapore’s agri-food capabilities through science-led solutions.
